Hakaya Al Horouf
The gallery’s inaugural exhibition
Dhunnun Center, 106 Yacoub El Mansour Blvd, Oujda

The gallery’s opening coincided with “Hakaya Al Horouf”, a visual journey through the transformations of the Arabic letter between tradition and experimentation. It brought together renowned artists alongside the centre’s teachers and students, in a dialogue reflecting the continuity of traditional transmission and its openness to contemporary vision.
Here the calligraphic panel becomes a space to contemplate rhythm, emptiness and movement, revealing the Arabic letter’s capacity for renewal beyond familiar forms. The opening took place in the presence of official and cultural representatives, calligrapher Mohammed Amine Bouhid, founder of the centre, calligrapher Fouzia Boualaakik, director of the centre, and many artists and researchers.
