The ijaza tree and chain of transmission
In calligraphy, the ijaza is the master’s testimony to a student who has reached mastery, linking them to a chain of transmission (sanad) passed from generation to generation. These are the trees of calligraphers licensed by Mohammed Amine Bouhid at the Dhunnun Center, through the line of calligrapher Belaid Hamidi.
